Statement from TBA Board of Directors

Dear Take Back Alberta members,

A recent statement from TBA’s former CFO Mr. Marco Van Huigenbos, includes many claims about Mr. David Parker, Take Back Alberta, and Take Back Alberta Captains.

Mr. Parker and the Board hope to resolve these issues privately, and regret that these public attacks have caused division and ultimately distracted from uniting likeminded Albertans to ignite change in their province.

That said, the Board wishes to inform members that Take Back Alberta has been restructured to have a five member Board of Directors which provides more oversight to the organization. The Board and David Parker has been working together since August and have had great success with the two James Lindsay events and are looking forward to the AGM on November 3 and 4.

“Our focus is on the upcoming United Conservative Party Annual General Meeting. Due to the hard work and focus of the TBA membership, next weekend will be the largest paid political gathering of Conservatives in Canadian history.” said TBA Executive Director Mr David Parker.

The Board regrets Mr. Van Huigenbos’ attacks against the Premier who continues to have the full support of our membership.

Mr. Parker, along with thousands of volunteers and financial supporters, built Take Back Alberta because of their love of the province of Alberta and their deep personal commitment to democracy and citizen involvement in the political process. Mr Parker has the full confidence of the Board of Directors.

The new Board, along with Mr Parker, have been working on a new five year vision for the organization and it's grassroots members that will continue to restore democracy back to the people of Alberta. They will be working with thousands of local members across the province to encourage more citizen involvement in local politics, and to invigorate democracy in school boards and municipal councils.
